LOCAL | JEWISH LIGHT CONTEST

Calling all kugel cooks

The Jewish Light is sponsoring a Kugel Cook-off contest and we want you to enter. All you need to do is submit your favorite kugel recipe – either sweet or savory or your own special concoction – and email it to efutterman@thejewishlight.com, typing "kugel recipe" in the subject line. Or you can mail it to Ellen Futterman, c/o St. Louis Jewish Light, 6 Millstone Campus Dr., Suite 3010, St. Louis, Mo. 63146. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Feb. 19.

Our panel of judges will review the recipes and select the top eight. Those eight cooks will be asked to make their kugel and bring it to the Jewish Light offices on Sunday, March 7. At that time, our panel will taste each and decide on a winner and runner-up. The winner will receive cooking classes for two at L'Ecole Culinaire cooking school in Ladue and the runner-up will receive a $25 gift certificate. Both recipes will be published in the Light prior to Passover and all eight recipes will be published online at www.stljeewishlight.com.

So get busy and start kugeling!
